They were extremely popular in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries and were incorporated into a variety of consumer goods, including jewelry, pens, and tourist trinkets. In this episode, I discuss the history of microphotography and Stanhope viewers and examine an 1890s example courtesy of the Dalnavert Museum in Winnipeg.
